Terms Of Use

The following Terms of Use (“Terms”, “Terms of Use”) govern the users relationship with Beedle as a Teams add-in and through the Beedle Guardian App (both called the “Service”) operated by Beedle ehf (“us”, “we”, or “our”). Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using our Service.

The users access to and use of the Service is conditioned on their acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service. By accessing or using the Service the user agrees to be bound by these Terms. If the user disagrees with any part of the terms then the user may not access the Service.

Description of the Service

The Beedle add-in, by Beedle, helps to reduce teachers’ workload by providing enhanced functionality in Microsoft Teams (e.g. Planning, Class List, Diary and Assessments). The optional Beedle Guardian App provides guardians with information, including attendance and assignment data.

Free Trial

Beedle is free of charge and can be downloaded by everyone with a Microsoft 365 Licence. At any time and without notice, Beedle ehf reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of the Free Trial offer, or cancel the Free Trial offer. 

The Guardian App is available as extension on our free trial and can be used free of charge for the academic year 21/22.

Responsibility of user content

Our Service allows users to store, link, share and otherwise make available certain content as information, text, graphics or other material. The user is responsible for content that is uploaded to the Service or created in the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness. All rights, titles and interest in and to all data, information, text, graphics and other materials submitted to the Service are owned by the user, which is solely responsible for determining whether or not user Content is legal, appropriate, fair and lawful. Restriction

The user agrees not to, or not allow any third party to, programmatically or manually copy, modify, adapt, decompile or reverse engineer, sell, distribute, transmit or disassemble any portion of the Service or its Documentation. Furthermore, any use of the Service other than for its intended purpose is strictly prohibited.

Limitation Of Liability

In no event shall Beedle ehf, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from the users access to, or use of, or inability to access or use the Service; any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; any content obtained from the Service; and unauthorized access, use or alteration of the users transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

Disclaimer

The users use of the Service is at their sole risk. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance. Beedle ehf, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and its licensors do not warrant that the Service will function uninterrupted, secure or available at any particular time or location; any errors or defects will be corrected; the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or the results of using the Service will meet the users requirements.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision of material takes place we will try to provide a notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, the user agrees to be bound by the revised terms. If the user does not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
