New and Improved Beedle Attendance 

We are happy to announce the release our new and enhanced attendance module, for faster and easier attendance registration. Beedle Attendance provides robust registration and management of all aspects of students’ attendance across the school. We have greatly enhanced its design and users can now schedule future absences in an easy way, across all class teams. Use the compact calendar to quickly pick a day to view and edit past registrations 

It features a pre-defined soft present mark for one-click class registration, a time slider for sessions that shows the current time and with AM/PM registrations, teachers can easily select between sessions. All attendance records can be exported to an Excel spreadsheet. 

The new attendance works seamlessly with the Beedle Parent app, where guardians get notifications about their children’s absences, can view the attendance history for their kids and register absences directly from the app. 

Say hello to Beedle Announcements 

Beedle Classroom now features a new section for school announcements. You can create and send announcements to the entire class or a group of class teams, and easily share with students and/or parents.  

Resources can be included, by simply attaching files from your device, OneDrive or Team files or add a hyperlink. Students will receive Teams notifications with a direct link to the announcement and have access to all announcements. Parents and guardians will receive announcement notification in their Beedle Parent App where they can also view current and past announcements. 

Beedle Parent App featuring two-way messaging for increased collaboration 

With the Beedle Parent App, parents can access Beedle and Microsoft Teams functionality from a simple and intuitive native app, without the need for guardians to log in to Teams. Teachers operate entirely within the familiar Teams environment.   

We are very happy to announce that we have now added an easy and secure chat functionality between Parents and Teachers. Teachers have a dedicated section for chat messages with guardians in Teams, while Parents and guardians chat through the Parent app on their preferred device. Parents have personal contact lists containing only their children’s teachers. 

Schools that are using their own Attendance module, have the option to deactivate Attendance from the Parent App. This is easily done in the Beedle Attendance settings.  

Beedle Planning updates 

Beedle Planning provides a quick, easy, and intuitive teacher’s planner in Teams. 
We have been working to continuously improve Planning for an even better user experience and added capabilities. 

Microsoft assignments can be linked to plans or be created directly from within a plan. Objectives can also be linked to lesson plans. When shared with students, they get all the details in the plan, including attached resources, Microsoft Assignments and the Objectives associated to the plan.  
 
The new Publish feature in Planning allows only designated plans to be shared with students. Teachers can now develop lessons in Planning and only share when the teacher is ready. Copying of plans have been improved and an option was added to include Microsoft Assignments and Objectives.  

The current Beedle modules are Planning, Parent App, Classroom, Journal, Attendance, Objectives, Calendar, and Assessment. Our upcoming modules in our roadmap include persona-based Dashboards, Student profile and Analytics.
